Bhubaneswar, 09-08-2020: NALCO, in association with NALCO Mahila Samiti, organised an Online Extempore Competition in the run up to the Independence Day celebration, on 9th August, 2020. Smt. Sasmita Patra, President, NALCO Mahila Samiti, encouraged the children of employees to participate in this unique initiative, in which students of Class VIII, IX and X spanning Bhubaneswar, Angul, Damanjodi and various other parts of the country participated.
The extempore topic on ‘India’s Struggle for Independence – When & How’ was announced online and the students were allowed to participate in activities like drawing, essay-writing, flow-chart, timeline or cartoon. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Smt. Prativa Mishra, Secretary, NMS, while a short Motivation Talk was delivered by Smt. Shaswatee Mohanty, Member, NMS.
